Taylor Swift became famous as a singer and songwriter in early 2001, with stories of pain and heartbreak. Swift was a fan of music at an early stage of her life. Swift quickly rose up the ranks, beginning by playing roles in the theater for children and then performing before an audience of thousands. Swift began writing music at the age of 11. She performed The Star-Spangled Banner for a Philadelphia 76ers NBA game. Swift became inspired to create her own music by artists from the country genre such as Shania Twain or the Dixie Chicks. Swift was just thirteen when her parents made the decision to dispose of their Pennsylvania farm to relocate into Hendersonville Tennessee. She could then devote all of her energy to approaching the country music labels that were based in Nashville.
